Roadways India Limited (RIL) was established on 27th day of January 1987 as a Private Limited Company with its registered Office at Kolkata. It was later on converted into Public Limited Company on 19th September 1995. Headed by a group of Promoters who had a three-decade experience in transport industry. It had gone for a Public issue on 8th January 1996 where the public response was overwhelming and the entire Public issue was oversubscribed by two times. Today, We are one of the leading transport organization with more than 100 outlets spread through out the country. RIL's intricate network ensures smooth flow of operations both within the state and between one state to other ensuring speedy and efficient transportation of goods, On Time Every Time. We commenced our operation about a decade back and it specialises in "Bulk Cargo, ODC Consignments and Project Consignments" ETC.

We are proud that we had undertaken Transportation jobs having varying dimension ranging from Length - 77 ft, Width 22 ft, Height 18 ft and Weight up to 82 M.T. we have also executed single order of BHEL PDSR for Transporting 300 MT FMC crane in 40 Trailers from M/s NTPC Talcher to M/s NTPC Ramagundam. We are also experienced enough to Transport both MS and SS Tanks.

Computerized Operations coupled with a competitive rate structure, has enabled to give RIL complete value for the customers money. Human Resources & Structure of the Organisation

The fundamental principle determining the organization structure is to infuse speed and flexibility in decision-making and implementation with empowered managers across the nationwide operations. For this RIL is organized into self-sufficient profit Centers, supported by central functions and resources to leverage economies of scale wherever relevant. At present there are about 400 Human Strength working across the country in various locations and include skilled, semi skilled and professional personnel’s.

RIL's Central functions are various teams of Finance, Marketing, Operations, Corporate affairs, Human Resource, Information Technology, Legal and Secretarial, Fleet and General Administration. Each function has a dedicated team of persons with a will and ability to strive, seek and achieve laurels to the Company.

Fleet

Currently RIL has its own fleet vehicles, which comprises of HCV, MCV, Trailer & Crane and we plan to add more and more vehicles in every financial year we grow.
