Roadways India Limited (RIL) was established on 27th day of January 1987 as a Private Limited Company with its registered Office at Kolkata. It was later on converted into Public Limited Company on 19th September 1995. Headed by a group of Promoters who had a three-decade experience in transport industry. It had gone for a Public issue on 8th January 1996 where the public response was overwhelming and the entire Public issue was oversubscribed by two times.
