About Roadways India Limited
Roadways India Limited (RIL) was established on January 27, 1987, as a Private Limited Company with its registered office in Kolkata. On September 19, 1995, it was converted into a Public Limited Company. Led by a group of promoters with over three decades of experience in the transport industry, RIL launched its public issue on January 8, 1996, which received an overwhelming response, being oversubscribed twice.
Today, RIL is one of the leading transport organizations in India, with a network of over 100 outlets across the country. Our well-structured and intricate logistics network ensures seamless, efficient, and timely transportation of goods, both within and across states. With a commitment to reliability, we operate under the motto: “On Time, Every Time.”
Having specialized in Bulk Cargo, Over-Dimensional Cargo (ODC), and Project Consignments, we have successfully handled transportation projects with varying dimensions, including:

One of our notable achievements includes executing a single order for BHEL PDSR, transporting a 300 MT FMC crane in 40 trailers from NTPC Talcher to NTPC Ramagundam. Additionally, we have extensive expertise in transporting both Mild Steel (MS) and Stainless Steel (SS) tanks, ensuring safe and efficient delivery across locations.

Human Resources & Structure of the Organisation
The fundamental principle determining the organization structure is to infuse speed and flexibility in decision-making and implementation with empowered managers across the nationwide operations. For this RIL is organized into self-sufficient profit Centers, supported by central functions and resources to leverage economies of scale wherever relevant. At present there are about 400 Human Strength working across the country in various locations and include skilled, semi skilled and professional personnel’s.
RIL’s Central functions are various teams of Finance, Marketing, Operations, Corporate affairs, Human Resource, Information Technology, Legal and Secretarial, Fleet and General Administration. Each function has a dedicated team of persons with a will and ability to strive, seek and achieve laurels to the Company.
Fleet
Currently RIL has its own fleet vehicles, which comprises of HCV, MCV, Trailer & Crane and we plan to add more and more vehicles in every financial year we grow.
